Outgoing

The CLUB have made many Tours, We have travelled a number of times to the USA, where we have many friends in Nashville, Knoxville, Huntsville and numerous other places, Europe including Holland, Germany and Cyprus have been visited and will no doubt be toured again, various treks have been made,  to numerous to mention, all over the UK. we have always received a warm welcome and will wherever we travel aim to spread the gospel and the good name of Llanhilleth RFC.

A number of individuals and small groups of players and/or club members have travelled all over the world to such exotic places as Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA & Argentina on rugby orientated trips and all have been proud to wear the Badge and colours of Llanhilleth RFC.

To continue in this vein the committee are at this point endeavouring to arrange a Tour at the end of the Forthcoming  season. Poland and Cyprus have been mentioned. It a few years since a Full foreign trip was organised,  so watch this space for a news update.

UPDATE

Following a meeting between Officers, Committee Team Management and players, the Club has decided on a Tour to CYPRUS, It will take place for 7days leaving on Sun 6th of May 2007. A party of approx 45 travel.  will stay in AYIA NAPA.

The tour took place and was a great success, Llan played the 8th Royal Transport Corp, and won a very good game 25 - 12, they then played Dhekalia Lions and after 5 days of great hospitality by their hosts where a large amount of liquid refresment was consumed, the hosts got the better of them.  Llan lost a hard umcomprimising game 5- 19, the Lions fielded 9 Fiians in their squad some of who were full Fijian Internationals. Llan never gave up and all who played did the club proud.

Incoming

The Club has over the years entertained many Touring Teams, Tenneessee Long Rifles, Vanderbilt University & Nashville, obviously from the USA have visited us, We have entertained many non welsh British Teams and all have commented and shown admiration for our excellent facilities both at Llanhilleth Park and at our Clubhouse. If you are out there viewing our web site and are contemplating coming to Wales why not call us, you will not be disappointed, we have a full set of Match standard floodlights, so if you want to play midweek or on a Sat we will try to accomodate you.
